Oh, and another thing, we changed our resolution to 1024x768... it?'s real weird, but i think I'm getting used to it... any tips how to make this stuff easier for me?

What were you on before?
1024x768 is so small for me >> I like 1400x1050 the best, but my monitor looks best as 1280x1024, so I leave it as such.

O.O omg, I was 800x600 all the time. Now it's so huge. And the icon's are tiny, my eye hurts. But the best for this monitor is 1024x768 tho.

1024x768 is what most people use, I believe.

640?480 is now mid-res, just for TV browsing.
800?600 is best for 14" and 15" monitors, and the reference resolution for websites (a lot of people still have it).
1024?768 is what most people have, especially on 17" monitors.
1152?864 and 1280?960 are higher resolutions you might like.
1280?1024 should've never existed but it's there. The problem with it is it's not a 4:3 resolution, so pixels aren't square, and icons, images, etc. look slightly deformed.
1400?1050 IMO is too much for monitors under 19"; too many DPI makes everything small.
IRT Xel: Aren't you using 1400?1050? The drivers might not let you choose more than 60 Hz, but that's not a monitor limitation but the driver devs not getting their heads out of their asses. You can try the tool I suggested over AIM to force a good refresh rate and use it. As for 1280?1024, don't you find images slightly fatter than they should? 1280?960 won't exhibit this problem and you might use a slightly higher refresh rate with it.

Actually, 1280x960 makes everything looked deformed on my monitor, unless I make it so it doesn't tkae up the full screen. Weird, huh?
And 1400x1050 just is too small on this one, on meh laptop it was fine, but on this monitor it's way too small for me.

Oh so it's a smaller screen than your laptop?
